Two owners; one family. I have had this car since 1987 and before that it was my Grand Aunt's, who literally drove it to church and back once a week. I have been restoring it on and off for years and, sadly, have no time or money to do it the justice it deserves. Not to mention, my new girlfriend (hopefully future wife) wants nothing to do with it.
"The Beast", as it is affectionately known as, is completely original and runs great! It needs some body work, and paint and the interior is just now in need of some repair after a couple undetected leaks went too long before getting noticed. There is a split in one of the seems on driver's side bench, too. I actually found the original upholstery here in Portland but didn't need any at the time. If you want to restore it to it's former glory, I will give you the contact info. I am sure they still have it. I drive the car infrequently so the 91,000 miles are legit. When I got it, it only had around 65,000 miles. I had rear seat belts added, otherwise it is completely original. Even the radiator that I replaced, was from another 1963 Olds. Once, when I was in need of cash, I looked into selling the car. A long time classic car restorer told me the car would bring around $20,000, if I were willing to part it out. That was twenty years ago. I pray the winner of this auction won't break up my "Green Machine", but if you do, you will make your money back three or four fold. If the winner wants to restore him, I ask that I get to be the first to drive it when finished, although that is just a request and not a contingency of the sale. I am very attached to the "Green Hornet", if you haven't figured that out, but it is time he make someone else happy and possibly get restored like I always promised I would do but couldn't (stupid life distractions, like kids, work, divorce, etc.) I have the original hubcaps that are not shown in the picture and all kinds of extras, like two cans of flat fix from 1963, the original owners manual and shop manual, paint pallette, etc.
